What does the Cleanroom Training program offer?
Introduction to Microchip Fabrication
Classroom lectures will cover the semiconductor ecosystem and processes. This course will introduce students to gowning and cleanroom work. Students will gain knowledge of proper documentation and statistical process control.
This course is intended for students with little or no cleanroom experience, and serves as a foundation for starting a career in fabrications. It includes 16 hours of lectures and hands-on processing in the CNSI cleanroom. NO PREREQUISITES NECESSARY.
Classroom lectures will cover the semiconductor ecosystem and major processes. This course offers extensive hands-on processing (27 hours) in the CNSI cleanroom on the UCSB campus. Students will process two semiconductor wafers using multiple cleanroom processes, and will gain knowledge of proper documentation and statistical process control.
This in-depth training will expose students to theoretical and practical approaches to fabrication in a cleanroom. It is intended for individuals with cleanroom experience, and those wanting upskill their career in the semiconductor industry.
